I am available for pet portrait sessions in the greater Boston area, but will travel farther for an additional fee.
A typical photo session will last around 1½ - 2 hours and includes lots of play and fun. I will meet you and your dog(s) at a location of your choice - your home, a favorite park, beach etc. I like to spend a little time getting to know both you and your dog when we first meet so that he/she is comfortable having me around and I get to know him/her a bit. I also love to hear about your dog’s personality, and any cute, quirky or funny stories about him/her you might have. When I’m ready to start shooting, I’ll ask you to play with your dog like you normally do (throw a stick, ball, etc.) or just let him/her romp around.
If you prefer a more posed photo (with or without yourself and other family members), we can do that as well, but I do feel that you get the best photos and can really capture the pet’s personality when they are allowed to just be themselves.
I prefer to shoot outside, using natural light and settings, but if you have an indoor cat or other animal that doesn’t venture outside, we will work together to find a good, bright spot in your home.
Pricing
The base price for a commissioned photo session is $250. This includes time, travel, expenses, photographing, and online proofs. The fee is due at the end of the photo session.
The price is based on a one or two-dog household, (additional dogs/pets is $25 per animal) and roughly 1½ - 2 hours of shooting time.
Cancellations must be at least 24 hours in advance. There is a $50 charge for no-shows.
Bad weather policy
To ensure quality pictures, we will need to reschedule in times of rain and/or heavy falling snow. A light flurry or snow on the ground is not a problem. Cold temperatures will be discussed.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates for pet portraiture sessions are also available. Please email me for more information or to purchase.
