PROCESS - HOW I WORK: A typical photo session will last around 1½ - 2 hours and includes lots of play and fun. I will meet you and your pet(s) at a location of your choice - your home, a favorite park, beach etc. I like to spend a little time getting to know both you and your pet when we first meet so that he/she is comfortable having me around and I get to know him/her a bit. I also love to hear about your pet's personality, and any cute, quirky or funny stories about him/her you might have.  When I'm ready to start shooting, I'll ask you to play with your pet like you normally do (with dogs, throwing a stick, ball, or other favorite toy usually works well) or just let him/her romp around. When it comes to other animals, such as farm animals, the process is a bit different every time, depending on the individual animal. We discuss ahead of time what works with your particular animal. If you prefer a more posed photo (with or without yourself and other family members), we can do that as well, but I do feel that you get the best photos and can really capture the pet's personality when they are allowed to just be themselves.

I prefer to shoot outside, using natural light and settings, but if you have an indoor cat or other animal that doesn't venture outside, we will work together to find a good spot with plenty of sunlight in your home or barn.
